PAKISTAN:
Who killed Bhutto?
Did the U.S. have a hand in engineering the outcome? Were there two,
unrelated attacks, one an ISI hit, the other a suicide
bomber? Did the well dressed-man in the Ray Ban Sunglasses know that the
guy behind him was about to detonate? Inside the PPP, the emerging
consensus is yes and no, there were two men, and no, the mystery man was not
working in concert with the bomber. Update: Reports indicate that
2 handguns were found at the scene & Scotland Yard arrives.

KENYA:
Ethnic cleansing returned to the continent,
as attacks since the disputed election have claimed perhaps 600 lives. The
vote spread which looms large? 250,000 votes. Same difference as in the last
Mexican Election, which saw a very different response. Why?
We assume this reflects the basic
distinction between tribalism and feudalism. When democracy fails
to maintain civil order, faith in institutions fails as well. How is it
then, that the prosperous developed countries opted for a Security State, instead?

Presidential distractions weigh heavily
on the world scene where many media refer to the "Presidential Election"
assuming readers know they mean the USA. Go to Barcelona, the map store

The Huffington Post:
"Former White House Press Secretary
Scott McClellan was one of the key figures
in the Bush administration’s efforts to
respond publicly to the investigation into
the Plame leak. He spoke for the White House
and he was the filter through which the
public learned about which officials were
and were not involved in the leak. Standing
in front of the White House Seal, McClellan
famously denied any White House involvement
in the leak, “If anyone in this
administration was involved in it, they
would no longer be in this administration.”
We need to launch an
immediate investigation to determine the
facts of this case, the extent of any cover
up and determine what the President knew and
when he knew it. If in fact the President of
the United of States knowingly instructed
his chief spokesman to mislead the American
people, there can be no more fundamental
betrayal of the public trust."
