Many people, keenly aware of the Cheney-Bush Machiavellian approach to life, are convinced that they will not relinquish power 365 days from today, orchestrating another 'Shock & Awe', again on US soil. There is much to support this assumption, from Police State authority they usurped from Congress, to the Executive Order of 07/17/07 (designating Americans who are against endless war as 'enemies of the state', subject to financial ruin), to HR 1955 (Jane Harman's new McCarthy Committee), to the "Un-Patriotic Act" passed after the seemingly coordinated NSA-MI6-Mossad hit on the World Trade Center, with the assistance of a few duped goofballs with box cutters.

Note that Bush signed his new order "The White House", not George W. Bush, "President of the United States". This tells you all you need to know about their perception of their usurped power.

Never has the world teetered on the brink of self-destruction more, as it does now, under the Cheney Regime, bored with Iraq, chomping on the bit to attack Pakistan and Iran. So many observers want to believe the driving force is Israel, but they are naive to not see the real criminals are hiding behind their corporate conference tables, from Grumman to Boeing to GE. A War budget under Clinton of $268BB USD has now doubled in 7 years to $540BB without the Iraq disaster in the budget.

Ask yourself, why was 'Dennis the Menace' Kucinich denied a seat at the last GE TV (aka NBC) debate in Nevada?. Could it be because he is against the GE War in Iraq and GE Nuclear Power, its waste to be dumped in Yucca Mountain (Nevada)? Were you expecting the team mascots, Pretty Boy Williams, Cynical Chris Mathews and sellout Tim Russert to come to Kucinich's defense? You joking or you crazy?

It was one year ago today, January 21, 2007, that this author was denied entry to England. You read correctly, with a 6-month visa, a house near Marble Arch, 2 kids in Nursery School (Crèche), an outsourced business address in London for six years, UK clients and suppliers (of High Technology International), this part-time writer was denied entry, when returning from a 10-day business trip to Egypt, working on Electric Generator exports to South Africa.

At Heathrow Airport, an individual claiming to be the 'Chief Immigration Officer', initiated a five (5) hour detention and interrogation exorcise which began with (of 23 handwritten questions), #3 "What is Internet TV News?", #4 "Who owns it?" and #5 "What do you have against George Bush?" From this point, the interchange became adversarial.

Eventually, entry was denied, a note was issued (after a one hour argument), demanding return to the airport in 48 hours, for a forced flight back to the USA. Strange, according to IATA (International Air) rules, it turns out you are to be returned to the country you just came from, in this case Egypt. A solicitor was retained, who claimed he had "made a deal by phone, confirmed by fax" to return to Cairo. Wonder no more...

On arrival of the flight (Air France London-Paris, Paris-Washington) in Paris, (having lost the fight to go to Cairo, as agreed, of which they said they had "no knowledge"), heading for transit, a English-speaking French cop at Charles de-Gaulle Airport came to the plane-the Captain had handed off the American passport. Holding it in his right hand, looking down at the floor, then up, somewhat sheepishly, he asked, "You are Douglas?"

"Yes" was the reply, and again "Yes", when asked "You are American?" Then again to the same question, repeated. He didn't realize the policeman's quandary, trying to fathom the circumstance he'd found himself in, holding the passport of an American, denied entry into the 'democratic' GREAT Britain, though not under arrest, nor escorted by air marshals.

"This is not our war", the short, stocky cop blurted out, for which he got a giant "WHAT?", in response. "We told you don't get involved", he scolded. Our author replied "What are you talking about, I am against the war?"

Returning a look like he was an idiot, he said "Not you, your government". "Oh", was all he could muster, in reply.

"And we are not here to do the dirty work of the Brits or the Americans. We are not pushing you on the next leg of the flight, (back to the USA). This is France, it is a great country"., for which he got an affirmation. "This is Paris, a great city. Go where you want, say what you want", and as he handed over the passport, "Stay as long as you like, you will notice that there is no exit date stamped. Welcome"

Our author was in absolute and complete shock; this was the crap bad spy movies were made of, not meant to be scenes from his life. Shortly thereafter, his companion of 18 years trained to Paris from London, with their 2 little kids (then aged two and four) and 15 bags, in tow. "They're not eating", she said, and "they miss you."

February 6th, 2007, she grabbed one suitcase, two kids and three airline tickets & headed back to the USA, to the expensive house, expensive car and other material possessions she so missed. Sure, it may be a war-mongering, torture-promoting, Kafkaesque nightmare, but it was the nightmare she knew, agreements to leave the USA, to the contrary.

In the court documents she wrote "he is running around Europe because he thinks George Bush is trying to assassinate him", to which the Judge replied, "I don't even want to go down that road". Who can blame him? Does Bush even own a gun..... :)

Our fearless hero was missing from the court scene, as he was never given written 'Notice to Appear', (though his ex told the court "my lawyer told him", oral notice not being legal) and he lost the right to see or speak to his kids for one year.

Welcome to the "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave". More like "Land of Fear, Home of the (Corporate) Slave".
